Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last Updated: February 24, 2025
This Shipping & Delivery Policy outlines the rules and responsibilities regarding order fulfillment, shipping timelines, and delivery obligations for all sellers and buyers using EdFali Marketplace.
EdFali serves as a digital marketplace that connects buyers and sellers, but does not manage or handle shipping operations directly. Each seller is fully responsible for setting their own shipping policies and ensuring timely deliveries.
By purchasing or selling on EdFali, users agree to abide by the terms outlined in this policy.
1. General Shipping Guidelines
1.1 EdFali’s Role as a Marketplace
EdFali is a digital marketplace that connects buyers and sellers worldwide. The platform does not directly handle shipping, logistics, or order fulfillment. Instead, each seller is fully responsible for managing their own shipping operations, including selecting carriers, setting delivery timeframes, and ensuring successful deliveries.
While EdFali provides tools to track orders and manage transactions, the platform does not act as a shipping provider and does not physically store or dispatch products.
1.2 Seller’s Responsibility for Shipping
Every seller on EdFali is independently responsible for ensuring that their listed products are shipped correctly, safely, and within the promised time frame. Sellers must:
✔ Clearly define shipping methods and timeframes for each product.
✔ Accurately calculate and display shipping costs.
✔ Use reliable shipping carriers to prevent lost or damaged shipments.
✔ Provide tracking details whenever possible.
✔ Keep buyers informed about any potential delays.
Failure to meet these obligations may result in warnings, penalties, or account suspension if non-compliance is repeated.
1.3 Shipping Applies Only to Physical Products
Shipping policies only apply to physical products sold on EdFali.
✔ Digital products (e.g., e-books, software, online courses) do not require shipping and are delivered electronically.
✔ Services (e.g., consulting, freelancing) do not require shipping but must have a clear fulfillment time specified by the seller.
✔ Sellers must clearly indicate in their product listing whether the item requires shipping or is delivered digitally.
🚨 Misclassifying a digital product or service as requiring shipping may result in penalties or listing removal.
1.4 Buyer’s Right to See Shipping Details Before Purchase
Every buyer has the right to review all shipping-related details before completing a purchase. Sellers must ensure that:
✔ Estimated shipping times are clearly visible on the product page.
✔ Shipping fees are fully disclosed upfront.
✔ Available shipping methods are presented for selection.
✔ Any potential shipping restrictions (e.g., international limitations) are clearly mentioned.
If a buyer purchases an item without seeing clear shipping details, they have the right to open a dispute for misleading product information.
1.5 Seller’s Obligation to Specify Shipping Policies
Every seller must provide detailed shipping policies for their store, including:
✔ Estimated delivery times per region.
✔ Available shipping carriers.
✔ Return and refund rules related to shipping.
✔ How disputes regarding shipping issues will be handled.
Buyers should have easy access to these policies before making a purchase to avoid confusion.
1.6 Requirement for Sellers to Set Clear Shipping Rules in Their Store
Each store on EdFali must have a dedicated section outlining its shipping policies. These policies should cover:
✔ General shipping timeframes.
✔ Shipping fees and additional costs.
✔ Countries where shipping is available or restricted.
✔ Handling time before dispatch.
✔ Conditions for refunds or reshipping in case of delivery issues.
Sellers who fail to provide clear shipping policies may face penalties or restrictions on their account.
2. Shipping Timeframes & Commitments
2.1 Seller Must Specify Estimated Shipping Time Per Product
Each seller on EdFali must define and display the estimated shipping time for every product they sell. Buyers need to know how long their order will take to arrive.
✔ The seller is responsible for setting a clear and realistic shipping timeframe.
✔ Estimated shipping time should include both processing time (time to prepare the order) and delivery time (time for the shipment to arrive).
✔ If the seller anticipates a delay, they must immediately inform the buyer.
✔ Consistently failing to meet the promised shipping timeframe may lead to penalties, including restrictions on the seller’s account.
2.2 Seller’s Control Over Shipping Speed Options
Sellers on EdFali have full control over how they structure their shipping options. They are not required to follow predefined shipping categories but can create them if needed.
✔ If a seller offers multiple shipping speeds, they can categorize them accordingly (e.g., express, standard, economy).
✔ If a seller provides only one shipping option, there is no obligation to create different categories.
✔ The shipping cost should reflect the delivery speed—faster shipping should have an appropriate price, and longer delivery times should be more cost-effective.
💡 Important: While sellers have flexibility, faster shipping attracts more buyers and increases competitiveness.
2.3 Shipping Time Must Be Displayed on the Product Page
Sellers must clearly display their estimated shipping time on the product listing page.
✔ Each product page must specify processing time + estimated delivery time.
✔ If multiple shipping methods exist, the estimated delivery time for each option must be shown.
✔ Buyers must see all shipping details before making a purchase.
✔ If the seller needs to modify the shipping timeframe after an order is placed, they must inform the buyer immediately.
🚨 Failure to provide clear and accurate shipping details may result in disputes and penalties.
2.4 Maximum Allowed Shipping Timeframe
To ensure a reliable experience for buyers, EdFali enforces a maximum shipping timeframe.
✔ The longest allowable shipping time on EdFali is 45 days.
✔ This does not mean sellers should set their shipping timeframe at 45 days by default—sellers who offer faster shipping are more competitive and attract more buyers.
✔ Buyers expect their orders to arrive as soon as possible, so sellers should aim for shorter and more reliable delivery times.
💡 A long shipping timeframe can negatively impact sales—buyers prioritize faster shipping options.
2.5 Seller’s Commitment to the Stated Shipping Time
Once a buyer completes a purchase, the seller is obligated to adhere to the promised shipping timeframe. If a seller repeatedly fails to meet their shipping commitments, EdFali may take action:
✔ First-time delays result in a warning.
✔ Repeated failures lead to temporary restrictions on the seller’s account.
✔ Ongoing non-compliance may result in permanent suspension from EdFali.
📌 If a seller exceeds their stated shipping time three times or more, penalties may apply, including limited access to selling privileges or complete account suspension.
2.6 Shipping Policies Are Seller-Defined, Not Platform-Imposed
Sellers have the flexibility to define their own shipping policies, but they must be accurate, competitive, and reliable.
✔ Sellers are encouraged to offer fast and efficient shipping to gain a competitive edge.
✔ The maximum allowed shipping timeframe is 45 days, but buyers expect much faster delivery.
✔ Repeated complaints about late shipments will trigger a review of the seller’s performance.
3. Shipping Methods & Carriers
3.1 Seller Selects Preferred Shipping Carriers
Each seller on EdFali has full control over their shipping operations and is responsible for choosing the most suitable shipping carrier for their products.
✔ Sellers can work with any shipping carrier that meets their needs and delivers to the locations they serve.
✔ The platform does not impose specific shipping providers—sellers have complete freedom to choose the best option for their products and customers.
✔ The selected carrier must be reliable, trackable, and able to meet the estimated delivery timeframe set by the seller.
✔ If a seller changes their preferred shipping carrier, they must update their shipping policies to reflect this change.
3.2 Available Shipping Methods (Standard, Express, Same-Day)
Sellers can offer different shipping methods based on their capabilities and customer needs.
✔ Standard Shipping: Cost-effective option with a moderate delivery timeframe.
✔ Express Shipping: Faster delivery at a higher cost.
✔ Same-Day Delivery: Available only for local deliveries where applicable.
💡 Sellers are not required to offer all shipping methods but must clearly indicate which options are available for each product.
3.3 Seller’s Obligation to Provide Multiple Shipping Options (If Applicable)
If a seller has access to multiple shipping methods, they should offer different options to buyers when possible.
✔ Providing more than one shipping option allows buyers to choose between affordability and speed.
✔ Sellers must clearly state the cost and estimated delivery time for each available shipping method.
✔ If a seller offers only one shipping option, they must ensure it is clearly stated on the product page.
🚨 If a seller offers multiple shipping options but fails to deliver within the stated timeframe, they may face penalties or account restrictions.
3.4 Shipping to Domestic and International Destinations
Sellers on EdFali can ship both locally and internationally, depending on their shipping setup.
✔ Sellers must specify which countries they ship to and whether international shipping is available.
✔ Shipping costs for international orders should be clearly displayed to avoid unexpected charges.
✔ If a seller does not offer international shipping, this information must be stated on the product page.
✔ Customs and import fees are the buyer’s responsibility unless otherwise stated by the seller.
💡 Sellers should research international shipping regulations to ensure compliance with customs laws in different countries.
3.5 Seller’s Responsibility to Disclose Shipping Partners
Transparency is crucial in building buyer trust. Sellers must clearly disclose their shipping partners and any relevant shipping details.
✔ The seller must list the carriers they work with (e.g., DHL, FedEx, UPS, Aramex, national postal services).
✔ If the seller uses a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, they must indicate how buyers can track their shipments.
✔ If a seller self-ships (delivers using their own logistics team), they must outline how delivery tracking will be handled.
🚨 Failure to disclose shipping partners or misrepresenting shipping methods may lead to penalties, disputes, and loss of selling privileges.
4. Shipping Costs & Pricing
4.1 Seller Determines Shipping Fees
Each seller on EdFali is responsible for setting their own shipping fees based on their shipping method, location, and carrier costs.
✔ EdFali does not control or set shipping fees—sellers must calculate and establish their pricing independently.
✔ Shipping costs should be fair, reasonable, and reflect actual shipping expenses.
✔ If a seller changes their shipping fees, they must update the shipping details on their product pages to ensure buyers see accurate pricing.
🚨 Sellers who charge excessive or misleading shipping fees may face penalties, including listing removal or restrictions on their account.
4.2 Fixed vs. Dynamic Shipping Pricing
Sellers have two options for determining shipping fees:
✔ Fixed Shipping Fees: The seller sets a standard shipping cost, regardless of the destination, package size, or weight.
✔ Dynamic Shipping Fees: The shipping cost is calculated based on multiple factors such as weight, package dimensions, delivery distance, and courier rates.
💡 Sellers who choose dynamic shipping pricing should use a reliable calculation method to ensure buyers see the correct shipping fees before purchase.
4.3 Buyer’s Responsibility for Shipping Fees
In most cases, the buyer is responsible for covering the shipping costs, unless the seller specifies otherwise.
✔ Buyers must see the exact shipping fee before completing the purchase—no hidden charges are allowed.
✔ If additional shipping costs apply (e.g., remote area surcharges), they must be disclosed before checkout.
✔ If a buyer refuses to pay shipping costs, the order will not be processed, and the transaction may be canceled.
🚨 Sellers must not modify shipping fees after a purchase is made—if adjustments are needed, the buyer must be informed and approve the changes before shipping.
4.4 Free Shipping Policy (If Applicable)
Sellers may choose to offer free shipping as a promotional strategy to attract more buyers.
✔ Free shipping can apply to specific products, order values, or regions, depending on the seller’s policies.
✔ If a seller provides free shipping, they may adjust product pricing to compensate for the shipping cost.
✔ The terms and conditions of free shipping must be clearly stated, including any limitations (e.g., available only for domestic orders).
💡 Offering free shipping can increase sales and improve customer satisfaction, but sellers must ensure that their pricing strategy remains profitable.
4.5 Transparency Requirement for Displaying Shipping Costs
To maintain trust and prevent disputes, sellers must provide clear, upfront pricing for all shipping fees.
✔ Shipping costs must be visible on the product page—buyers should not be surprised by unexpected fees at checkout.
✔ If different shipping options exist (e.g., standard vs. express), the costs for each method must be displayed.
🚨 Failure to provide transparent shipping costs may result in disputes, order cancellations, or penalties against the seller.
5. Order Processing & Shipment Updates
5.1 Seller’s Responsibility to Update Order Status
Sellers on EdFali must actively update the status of each order from the moment it is placed until it is delivered. Keeping buyers informed about their order progress reduces disputes and improves customer satisfaction.
✔ The seller must update the order status at each key stage of the shipping process.
✔ If a seller fails to update the order status, buyers may open disputes due to lack of transparency.
✔ Accurate order tracking helps sellers build trust and avoid unnecessary chargebacks or complaints.
🚨 Sellers who repeatedly fail to provide shipment updates may face penalties, including temporary or permanent account restrictions.
5.2 Shipping Status Updates Required in EdFali System
To ensure smooth transactions, sellers must update the order status in the EdFali system at each stage. The available shipping statuses are:
✔ Processing
The seller has received the order and is preparing it for shipment.
- This status should be set immediately after an order is confirmed.
- If an item is out of stock or delayed, the seller must immediately notify the buyer and offer an alternative solution (e.g., refund, replacement, or extended processing time).
✔ Ready for Shipment
The order has been packed and is ready for pickup or handover to the shipping carrier.
- This status should be updated once the package is labeled and awaiting dispatch.
- If the seller is using a courier, they should attach a tracking number (if available).
✔ Shipped
The order has been dispatched and is in transit.
- A valid tracking number should be provided (if applicable).
- The expected delivery time should match the original shipping timeframe listed on the product page.
✔ In Transit
The order is moving through the logistics network toward the buyer’s destination.
- Some carriers provide real-time tracking updates. If available, the seller should ensure buyers can track their shipments.
- If there is a delay during transit, the seller should proactively notify the buyer.
✔ Delivered
The order has been successfully delivered to the buyer.
- The tracking system should confirm delivery, or the seller should manually update this status.
- Buyers should verify receipt of their order and report any issues within the allowed dispute timeframe.
✔ Shipping Issue
There is a problem with the shipment, such as:
- Delivery failed (e.g., incorrect address, buyer unavailable).
- Package lost or damaged in transit.
- Customs clearance issue for international shipments.
- Returned to sender due to an undeliverable address.
🚨 If a shipping issue occurs, the seller must immediately contact the buyer and propose a resolution.
5.3 Seller Must Notify the Buyer of Any Shipping Delays
If a shipment is delayed beyond the estimated timeframe, the seller is required to:
✔ Notify the buyer as soon as they become aware of the delay.
✔ Provide an updated estimated delivery date.
✔ Offer possible solutions, such as a refund, replacement, or extended waiting period (if the buyer agrees).
🚨 Repeated shipping delays without prior communication may result in penalties, listing restrictions, or account suspension.
6. Tracking & Proof of Shipment
6.1 Seller Must Provide Tracking Details If Available
To ensure transparency and buyer confidence, sellers on EdFali must provide tracking details whenever available.
✔ If the shipping carrier provides a tracking number, the seller is required to enter it into the EdFali system.
✔ Buyers should be able to track their shipment from dispatch until delivery.
✔ Tracking details must be accurate and match the carrier’s information.
🚨 Providing fake or incorrect tracking numbers is a violation of EdFali’s policies and may result in penalties, including listing removal or account suspension.
6.2 Mandatory Tracking Number for Registered Shipments
✔ If a seller uses a registered shipping method, a tracking number is mandatory.
✔ Tracking numbers must be entered in the system within 48 hours after marking an order as “Shipped.”
✔ Sellers must ensure that buyers receive accurate carrier information to track their orders.
💡 Using shipping carriers that offer tracking reduces disputes and enhances buyer trust.
🚨 Failure to provide a tracking number for registered shipments may result in delayed payouts or penalties.
6.3 Manual Shipping Status Update If No Tracking Is Available
If a seller uses a non-trackable shipping method, they must manually update the shipment status in the EdFali system.
✔ The seller must update the order to Shipped and indicate that no tracking is available.
✔ Additional updates must be provided for major shipment milestones (e.g., “In Transit” or “Delivered”).
✔ Buyers must be informed about the expected delivery timeframe.
🚨 Sellers who frequently use non-trackable shipping methods but fail to update order statuses may face penalties or restrictions.
6.4 Buyer’s Ability to Track Shipment Through EdFali
✔ Once a tracking number is provided, buyers can track their order directly through their EdFali account.
✔ If a tracking number is not available, buyers must rely on manual status updates from the seller.
✔ If a buyer does not receive timely updates, they have the right to open a dispute for an untracked shipment.
💡 Providing tracking improves customer satisfaction and reduces refund requests due to “lost shipments.”
6.5 Penalties for Failing to Update Shipment Status
Sellers who fail to update their shipment status or provide misleading tracking information may face:
✔ Warnings for first-time violations.
✔ Delayed payouts until the shipment is confirmed.
✔ Order cancellations initiated by EdFali if shipment updates are missing.
✔ Suspension or banning for repeated violations or fraudulent tracking information.
🚨 EdFali strictly enforces tracking requirements to maintain marketplace reliability. Sellers must ensure their shipment updates are accurate and timely.
7. Late Shipments & Seller Accountability
7.1 Seller Must Ship Within Their Stated Timeframe
Sellers on EdFali are responsible for ensuring that orders are shipped within the timeframe they specify on their product listing.
✔ Each product listing must include an estimated shipping timeframe, which the seller is required to follow.
✔ Sellers who fail to ship within their stated timeframe must inform the buyer immediately and provide an updated estimate.
✔ Delays in shipping may result in buyer dissatisfaction, refund requests, and penalties from EdFali.
🚨 Repeated late shipments without proper communication may result in seller restrictions or account suspension.
7.2 Consequences of Late Shipping
EdFali enforces a strict late shipping policy to maintain a reliable marketplace for buyers. If a seller fails to ship on time, the following actions will be taken:
✔ First Delay:
- Seller receives a formal warning from EdFali.
- Buyer is notified about the delay and given the option to cancel the order.
✔ Second Delay:
- Seller’s account may face temporary restrictions (e.g., limited product listings, payment holds).
- Seller must explain the reason for the repeated delay and provide a corrective action plan.
✔ Third Delay:
- The seller faces potential account suspension or permanent banning depending on the severity of the delays.
- All pending orders may be canceled, and affected buyers will receive refunds.
🚨 Important: If a seller repeatedly delays shipments, even without reaching three official violations, EdFali reserves the right to take immediate action if the pattern of delays negatively impacts buyers.
7.3 Repeated Delays Without Reaching Three Violations Lead to Immediate Action
Sellers must maintain a consistent and reliable shipping performance.
✔ If EdFali detects a pattern of delays, even if the seller has not officially reached the three-strike penalty system, immediate action may be taken.
✔ This includes suspending listings, restricting payouts, or banning the seller if their late shipments are affecting buyer trust and marketplace integrity.
🚨 Sellers must proactively manage their shipping commitments and ensure they can meet the estimated delivery time they provide to buyers.
8. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Shipments
8.1 Seller’s Responsibility for Lost Shipments
Sellers on EdFali are fully responsible for ensuring that products reach the buyer safely. If an order is lost during transit, the seller must take appropriate action to resolve the issue.
✔ If a tracking number shows the package is lost or undelivered, the seller must contact the shipping carrier to investigate.
✔ If a shipment cannot be recovered, the seller must either:
- Issue a full refund to the buyer.
- Resend the product at no additional cost to the buyer (if the buyer agrees).
✔ If a seller consistently experiences lost shipments, they must switch to a more reliable shipping carrier or risk penalties.
🚨 Failure to resolve lost shipments will result in dispute escalations, refund enforcement, and possible account restrictions.
8.2 Buyer Must Provide Proof of Damage
If an item arrives damaged, the buyer must submit clear evidence to support their claim.
✔ Buyers must provide photos or videos showing the damaged product and packaging.
✔ The complaint must be filed within the allowed dispute timeframe (as stated in EdFali’s policies).
✔ If the damage occurred due to seller negligence (e.g., poor packaging), the seller must refund or replace the product.
✔ If the damage occurred during transit, the seller must file a claim with their shipping provider and provide the buyer with a resolution.
🚨 If a buyer fails to provide proof of damage, the seller may reject the refund request, but EdFali will evaluate the case if a dispute is raised.
8.3 Dispute Resolution for Lost or Stolen Packages
If a buyer claims an order was lost or stolen, a dispute resolution process will be initiated.
✔ If the tracking system shows that the package was delivered, but the buyer claims they did not receive it, EdFali will investigate:
- The buyer must provide any supporting evidence (e.g., security camera footage, courier statement).
- The seller must verify with the shipping carrier if misdelivery occurred.
✔ If the package was stolen after delivery, the responsibility is on the buyer, unless the seller failed to require a signature confirmation for high-value items.
✔ If an order is marked as delivered to the wrong address, the seller must file a claim with the carrier and provide a solution to the buyer.
🚨 Disputes regarding lost or stolen packages will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by EdFali’s dispute resolution team.
8.4 Obligation to Issue a Refund or Resend Item
If a package is confirmed lost, damaged, or never arrived at the buyer’s location, the seller must:
✔ Issue a full refund to the buyer within the allowed refund period.
✔ Resend the product at no additional cost (if the buyer agrees).
✔ Work with the shipping carrier to resolve claims for compensation if applicable.
🚨 Sellers who refuse to take responsibility for lost shipments may face penalties, including forced refunds, payout holds, or account suspension.
8.5 EdFali’s Role in Dispute Handling
EdFali acts as a neutral third party in disputes regarding lost, stolen, or damaged shipments.
✔ If a dispute arises, EdFali will review evidence from both the buyer and the seller before making a final decision.
✔ EdFali reserves the right to force a refund if a seller is found to be at fault.
✔ In cases where the shipping carrier is responsible, EdFali may require the seller to provide proof of their claim submission before closing the dispute.
✔ If a seller has a high number of lost or stolen shipments, EdFali may impose shipping restrictions or suspend their account.
🚨 Sellers must maintain a strong shipping track record to avoid penalties and disputes.
9. Failed Delivery & Incorrect Address
9.1 Buyer’s Responsibility to Provide Accurate Shipping Information
It is the buyer’s full responsibility to ensure that the shipping address provided at checkout is accurate, complete, and up to date.
✔ Buyers must double-check their shipping details before completing a purchase.
✔ The provided address must include all necessary details such as:
- Street name & house/building number
- City, postal code, and country
- Apartment or unit number (if applicable)
✔ If a package is sent to an incorrect or incomplete address due to buyer error, the buyer assumes responsibility for any failed delivery.
🚨 EdFali and sellers are not responsible for delivery failures caused by incorrect buyer information.
9.2 Handling Returned Packages Due to Incorrect Addresses
If an order is returned to the seller due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the buyer:
✔ The seller must update the order status to reflect that the package was returned.
✔ The seller should contact the buyer to confirm whether they wish to:
- Reship the order (buyer must cover additional shipping costs).
- Request a refund (minus original shipping fees).
✔ The buyer must respond within 7 days of being contacted; otherwise, the seller has the right to cancel the order without refunding the shipping cost.
🚨 Sellers are not required to cover additional shipping costs when the error is caused by the buyer.
9.3 Seller’s Options: Reshipment or Refund Minus Shipping Fees
When a package is returned due to a buyer’s mistake, the seller has two options:
✔ Reshipment:
- The seller can resend the package if the buyer provides the correct shipping details.
- The buyer must pay for the reshipping costs before the item is sent out again.
- If the item is perishable or time-sensitive, the seller has the right to refuse reshipping and offer a refund instead.
✔ Refund Minus Shipping Fees:
- If the buyer no longer wants the product, the seller may issue a refund but will deduct the original shipping cost from the refund amount.
- If the product is non-refundable due to its nature (e.g., perishable goods, custom-made items), the seller may decline a refund entirely.
🚨 Sellers must clearly state their policy on handling failed deliveries in their store’s shipping terms to avoid disputes.
9.4 Resolution Process for Failed Deliveries
If a buyer disputes a failed delivery and claims they did not receive the order, the following steps apply:
✔ If the tracking information shows “Delivered”:
- The buyer must check with neighbors, security desks, or family members to confirm if the package was received by someone else.
- If the package is missing, the buyer must contact the shipping carrier for further investigation.
- If the issue is not resolved, the buyer may open a dispute, but EdFali will prioritize the tracking information provided.
✔ If the tracking information shows “Returned to Sender”:
- The seller must confirm whether the return was due to an incorrect address or another issue.
- The seller must update the order status and inform the buyer of their reshipping or refund options.
- If the package was returned due to carrier error, the seller must file a claim with the shipping provider and keep the buyer updated.
✔ If the package was marked undeliverable for unknown reasons:
- The buyer and seller must work together to contact the shipping carrier for clarification.
- If no resolution is reached, EdFali’s dispute team will review the case and determine whether the buyer is entitled to a refund.
🚨 Sellers who repeatedly experience delivery failures due to mislabeling, poor packaging, or non-compliance with shipping regulations may face penalties or account restrictions.
10. International Shipping & Customs
10.1 Buyer’s Responsibility for Customs Duties and Import Taxes
When purchasing items from international sellers on EdFali, buyers are fully responsible for paying any customs duties, VAT, import taxes, or additional fees imposed by their country’s customs authorities.
✔ These fees are not included in the product price or shipping cost unless explicitly stated by the seller.
✔ Buyers must research and understand their country’s import regulations before placing an order.
✔ If customs fees apply, the buyer must pay them upon arrival to receive the package.
✔ EdFali and sellers are not responsible for customs-related charges or penalties.
🚨 Failure to pay customs duties on time may result in the package being returned, held, or destroyed by authorities, with no obligation for a refund.
10.2 Customs-Related Shipping Delays
International shipments may experience delays due to customs clearance procedures.
✔ Customs inspections can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks depending on the destination country.
✔ Sellers must provide accurate product descriptions and declared values to avoid unnecessary customs delays.
✔ Buyers should track their shipment and contact their local customs office if the package is held for clearance.
✔ If a package is delayed due to customs, the buyer cannot request an immediate refund. Refunds are only applicable if the package is officially declared lost.
🚨 Customs processing times are beyond the control of EdFali and sellers. Buyers must be patient and proactive in resolving clearance issues.
10.3 Buyer Must Arrange Customs Clearance If Required
In some cases, customs authorities may require additional documents or approvals before releasing a package.
✔ The buyer is responsible for providing any required identification, invoices, or permits.
✔ If customs requests further verification, the buyer must comply within the specified timeframe to avoid package return or destruction.
✔ If the buyer fails to provide necessary documentation, the package may be:
- Sent back to the seller.
- Held indefinitely.
- Disposed of by customs.
🚨 Sellers are not responsible for rejected shipments due to the buyer’s failure to provide customs documentation.
10.4 Handling Rejected or Abandoned Shipments Due to Unpaid Fees
If a buyer refuses to pay customs duties or fails to arrange clearance, the package may be returned to the seller or abandoned by customs authorities.
✔ If the package is returned:
- The seller may offer a refund minus shipping fees.
- The seller may refuse a refund if the item is perishable, custom-made, or non-resellable.
✔ If the package is abandoned:
- No refund will be issued to the buyer.
- The buyer loses all rights to claim the product.
- The seller and EdFali are not liable for any financial loss related to the abandoned shipment.
🚨 Sellers should clearly state in their store policies that customs fees are the buyer’s responsibility and that abandoned shipments are non-refundable.
10.5 No Refund for Abandoned Orders
If a buyer refuses to accept their package due to high customs fees, EdFali will not issue a refund.
✔ Orders that are abandoned or destroyed by customs cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
✔ Buyers must understand their local import regulations before making international purchases.
✔ If a package is held at customs, the buyer must act quickly to resolve the issue and avoid unnecessary penalties.
🚨 EdFali will not be responsible for any losses resulting from customs-related issues. Buyers must take full accountability for handling their international orders properly.
11. Shipping Restrictions & Compliance
11.1 List of Prohibited Items for Shipping
Sellers on EdFali must ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and EdFali’s marketplace policies. The following items are strictly prohibited from being sold or shipped through the platform:

✔ Flammable or explosive items (lithium batteries, fireworks, fuel).
✔ High-value goods without proper shipping insurance (e.g., gold, precious gems).
✔ Items that violate import/export laws in specific countries.
🚨 Sellers must verify shipping restrictions in each country before listing a product. If an item is flagged as restricted, EdFali reserves the right to remove it without prior notice.
11.2 Compliance with International Shipping Regulations
Sellers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when shipping products internationally. This includes:
✔ Proper classification of products to avoid mislabeling.
✔ Accurate declaration of product value on customs forms.
✔ Following safety packaging guidelines (e.g., for fragile, hazardous, or liquid items).
✔ Verifying import/export restrictions in the destination country.
📌 Examples of International Shipping Restrictions:
- Some countries ban CBD products, even if they are legal in the seller’s location.
- Certain electronics may require approval before entering a country.
- Food, supplements, or cosmetic products may need certification for importation.
🚨 Failure to comply with shipping regulations may result in product confiscation, fines, or legal consequences. EdFali is not responsible for shipments that violate laws.
11.3 Seller Penalties for Violating Shipping Policies
EdFali enforces strict penalties for sellers who fail to comply with shipping restrictions. These include:
✔ First Violation – Warning & product removal.
✔ Second Violation – Temporary suspension of seller’s shipping privileges.
✔ Third Violation – Permanent ban from selling on EdFali.
🚨 If a seller repeatedly ships prohibited items or fails to disclose shipping restrictions, EdFali reserves the right to suspend their account immediately.
11.4 Restrictions on Certain Countries or Regions
Some countries have strict regulations on imports and may restrict certain items from entering. Sellers must ensure their products are eligible for shipment to the buyer’s location.
✔ Commonly restricted regions include:
- Sanctioned countries (e.g., North Korea, Iran, Syria).
- Countries with import bans on specific products (e.g., alcohol in Saudi Arabia, vaping products in Thailand).
- Regions with unstable political conditions affecting logistics.
✔ If a seller fails to check country restrictions and a package is rejected or returned:
- The seller must refund the buyer minus shipping fees.
- EdFali may apply penalties for repeated violations.
🚨 Sellers must clearly indicate which countries they do NOT ship to in their store policies. If a buyer from a restricted country makes a purchase, the seller must cancel the order before shipping.
12. Refunds & Returns Due to Shipping Issues
12.1 Buyer’s Right to Request a Refund for Undelivered Orders
Buyers on EdFali have the right to request a full refund if their order is not delivered within the seller’s stated shipping timeframe.
✔ A refund request can be initiated if:
- The order is not shipped within the seller’s stated processing time.
- The order exceeds the maximum allowed delivery timeframe (45 days).
- The tracking information shows no movement for an extended period (determined case-by-case).
- The package is confirmed lost by the shipping carrier.
🚨 If the seller fails to provide proof of shipment within the expected timeframe, EdFali reserves the right to refund the buyer and penalize the seller.
12.2 Seller’s Responsibility for Excessive Shipping Delays
Sellers must take responsibility for shipping delays caused by:
✔ Failure to ship within the promised timeframe.
✔ Incorrect or missing shipment details (e.g., wrong tracking number).
✔ Neglecting to communicate delays with the buyer.
📌 Seller Penalties for Excessive Delays:
1️⃣ First Violation: A warning will be issued, and EdFali may automatically refund the buyer.
2️⃣ Second Violation: The seller may face account restrictions, including a temporary hold on new orders.
3️⃣ Third Violation: The seller’s account may be permanently suspended from EdFali.
🚨 Sellers who repeatedly delay shipments without a valid reason will be removed from the platform.
12.3 Resolution Process for Disputes Related to Shipping Failures
If a dispute arises due to shipping issues, EdFali provides a structured resolution process:
✔ Step 1: Buyer Initiates a Dispute
- The buyer must submit a dispute ticket within their account.
- The dispute must include order details, tracking information (if applicable), and communication with the seller.
✔ Step 2: Seller Provides Evidence
- The seller must submit proof of shipment, tracking updates, or delivery confirmation.
- If the seller fails to respond, EdFali may automatically rule in favor of the buyer.
✔ Step 3: EdFali Reviews the Case
- If tracking confirms delivery, the case is closed in favor of the seller.
- If the package is lost, the seller must issue a refund or resend the product at their own cost.
🚨 If a seller refuses to cooperate with the dispute resolution process, EdFali reserves the right to issue a forced refund and penalize the seller.
12.4 Refund Policies for Returned Shipments
If a package is returned to the seller due to shipping issues, the refund policy depends on the reason for return:
✔ If the package was returned due to the seller’s mistake (e.g., wrong address, failure to ship on time):
- The seller must offer a full refund to the buyer, including shipping costs.
✔ If the package was returned due to the buyer’s mistake (e.g., incorrect address, refusal to pay customs fees):
- The seller may offer a partial refund (excluding shipping costs).
- Alternatively, the buyer may pay additional shipping fees for reshipment.
✔ If the package was returned due to a logistics issue (e.g., carrier delays, customs rejection):
- EdFali will review the case and determine whether the refund is the seller’s or buyer’s responsibility.
🚨 Refund requests due to “change of mind” are subject to the seller’s return policy and may not always be granted.
13. Force Majeure & Uncontrollable Delays
13.1 Recognized Force Majeure Events
A Force Majeure event refers to any unforeseen and uncontrollable event that prevents the seller from fulfilling their shipping obligations. These include, but are not limited to:
✔ Natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, wildfires).
✔ Global health emergencies (pandemics, epidemics, government-imposed lockdowns).
✔ Wars, riots, terrorism, or political instability affecting supply chains.
✔ Shipping network disruptions (port closures, transportation strikes, major logistics failures).
✔ Cyberattacks or system failures that impact order processing or communication.
✔ New trade restrictions, customs bans, or sanctions that halt product shipments.
🚨 Sellers cannot use force majeure as an excuse for delays unless they provide proof that the event directly impacted their ability to ship.
13.2 Seller’s Responsibility to Update Buyers During Force Majeure Delays
If a seller experiences delays due to a force majeure event, they must:
✔ Notify the buyer as soon as they become aware of the delay.
✔ Update the order status in the EdFali system (e.g., marking as “Shipping Issue” with an explanation).
✔ Provide estimated recovery timelines based on available shipping information.
✔ Offer alternative solutions such as switching to a different carrier, offering store credit, or refunding the buyer if necessary.
🚨 Sellers who fail to update buyers or misrepresent force majeure claims may face penalties, including account restrictions.
13.3 EdFali’s Role in Evaluating Refund Requests in Exceptional Cases
If an order is delayed due to a force majeure event, EdFali will evaluate refund requests case-by-case:
✔ If the seller provides valid proof of force majeure (official carrier notice, government restrictions), EdFali may:
- Extend the buyer’s refund eligibility period.
- Encourage the buyer to wait for shipment resolution.
- Offer partial refunds instead of full refunds (if agreed upon by both parties).
✔ If the seller fails to provide proof or is found to be exaggerating delays, EdFali may:
- Rule in favor of the buyer and issue a full refund.
- Apply penalties to the seller for non-compliance.
🚨 Force majeure does not excuse sellers from their obligation to communicate and resolve issues transparently with buyers. Sellers abusing this clause may face permanent suspension from the platform.
14. Seller-Specific Shipping Policies
14.1 Mandatory Shipping Policy Setup for Physical Product Sellers
Any seller on EdFali who intends to sell physical products must first set up and publish their shipping policy before they can start listing products for sale.
✔ Sellers of physical goods are required to:
- Define their shipping terms and conditions based on EdFali’s platform-wide shipping policies.
- Ensure their policies include delivery timeframes, shipping costs, carriers, and handling times.
- Publish their shipping policies inside their store settings in the designated section.
🚨 A seller who attempts to list physical products without a valid shipping policy will be restricted from selling until compliance is met.
14.2 Store-Wide Shipping Terms Must Be Publicly Available
To maintain transparency, sellers must:
✔ Clearly display their store-wide shipping policy in a dedicated section within their store settings.
✔ Ensure product listings accurately reflect the shipping terms, avoiding misleading delivery timeframes.
✔ Regularly update their shipping policies to align with any changes in regulations, shipping rates, or carrier availability.
✔ Adhere to EdFali’s platform-wide shipping standards while tailoring their policies to their specific needs.
📌 Failure to maintain visible and accurate shipping terms may lead to order cancellations, refunds at the seller’s expense, or account penalties.
14.3 Immediate Consequences for Missing or Incomplete Shipping Policies
If a seller fails to set up a shipping policy for physical products before selling:
❌ Their store will be restricted from accepting orders until the shipping policy is published.
❌ Any orders placed while lacking a valid shipping policy may be forcibly refunded to protect buyers.
❌ The seller may receive an official warning, and repeated violations can result in account suspension or permanent banning.
❌ EdFali has the right to suspend product listings until compliance is ensured.
🚨 Sellers must acknowledge that setting up a shipping policy is a non-negotiable requirement for selling physical products.
14.4 Shipping Policies Must Align with EdFali’s Platform Standards
While sellers have flexibility in defining their own shipping terms, their policies must still comply with EdFali’s core shipping rules, including:
✔ Delivery timeframes must be reasonable and not exceed the platform’s maximum 45-day shipping period.
✔ Refund and return policies must comply with EdFali’s dispute resolution guidelines.
✔ Sellers must ensure that all disclosed shipping fees, taxes, and potential customs charges are accurate and visible to buyers.
📌 Sellers who attempt to bypass platform-wide shipping policies or manipulate shipping details to deceive buyers will face immediate penalties.
15. Dispute Resolution & Buyer Protection
15.1 Steps to Open a Shipping-Related Dispute
If a buyer experiences issues related to shipping, such as non-delivery, damaged items, or excessive delays, they have the right to open a dispute through EdFali’s resolution system. The process follows these steps:
✔ Step 1: Contact the Seller
- Buyers should first attempt to resolve the issue directly with the seller through the platform’s messaging system.
- The seller must respond within the designated response timeframe to provide an update or resolution.
✔ Step 2: Open a Dispute If No Resolution Is Reached
- If the seller fails to respond or refuses to cooperate, the buyer can formally open a dispute through the EdFali Dispute Center.
- The dispute must include clear evidence, such as tracking details, order confirmation, and communication logs.
✔ Step 3: Seller’s Response Window
- Once a dispute is opened, the seller has a set timeframe (e.g., 3-5 business days) to respond with proof of shipment, tracking information, or an alternative resolution.
- Failure to respond within this timeframe may lead to an automatic decision in favor of the buyer.
✔ Step 4: EdFali’s Intervention in Unresolved Cases
- If no agreement is reached between the buyer and the seller, EdFali’s dispute resolution team will review the case.
- The team will assess all provided evidence, including seller’s shipping commitments, tracking information, and any proof of item condition.
🚨 Buyers must ensure they follow the correct dispute process and submit valid evidence, or their claim may be rejected.
15.2 Seller’s Responsibility to Respond Within a Given Timeframe
Sellers must handle disputes in a timely and professional manner, including:
✔ Responding to dispute inquiries within the required timeframe (e.g., 3-5 business days).
✔ Providing valid proof of shipment (tracking number, courier receipts, or shipping confirmation).
✔ Offering resolutions such as refunds, replacements, or alternative solutions to resolve the dispute amicably.
✔ Communicating professionally with the buyer and EdFali’s support team.
🚨 Sellers who repeatedly fail to respond to disputes or ignore buyer concerns may face:
- Temporary account restrictions
- Financial penalties or withheld payouts
- Permanent suspension for repeated violations
15.3 EdFali’s Intervention in Unresolved Disputes
If a dispute is escalated to EdFali’s team, the following factors will be reviewed:
✔ Did the seller meet the promised shipping timeframe?
✔ Is there valid tracking information proving delivery?
✔ Did the buyer receive the correct product in acceptable condition?
✔ Were there any unexpected delays outside of the seller’s control?
Based on this assessment, EdFali may take one of the following actions:
✔ Issue a full or partial refund to the buyer.
✔ Require the seller to resend the item at their own cost.
✔ Deny the buyer’s dispute if the seller provides sufficient proof of fulfillment.
🚨 EdFali’s dispute resolution decision is final, and users must comply with the outcome.
15.4 Resolution Outcomes (Refund, Replacement, or Case Dismissal)
✔ Buyer Wins the Dispute:
- If the dispute is found in the buyer’s favor, they may receive:
- A full refund (if the item was never shipped or arrived damaged).
- A partial refund (if the issue is minor and the buyer agrees to keep the product).
- A replacement product at the seller’s expense.
✔ Seller Wins the Dispute:
- If the dispute is ruled in favor of the seller:
- No refund or replacement will be required.
- The buyer must accept the final decision.
- If a fraudulent dispute attempt is detected, the buyer may face account restrictions.
🚨 Sellers and buyers who repeatedly violate dispute policies or engage in dishonest claims may face penalties, including permanent account bans.
16. Penalties for Non-Compliance
16.1 Consequences for Sellers Who Repeatedly Fail to Ship on Time
Sellers on EdFali are expected to strictly adhere to their stated shipping timeframes. Failure to comply with shipping policies can lead to penalties that escalate based on the frequency and severity of violations.
🚨 Non-compliance includes:
✔ Shipping orders late multiple times without valid justification.
✔ Failing to update order status (e.g., not marking orders as “Shipped” within the stated timeframe).
✔ Providing false or misleading tracking information.
✔ Repeated disputes from buyers regarding delayed or non-existent shipments.
📌 A single violation may result in a warning, but repeated offenses will lead to stricter consequences.
16.2 Enforcement of Penalties
🔴 First Violation – Official Warning
✔ The seller receives a formal warning via email and in-platform notification.
✔ The warning serves as a reminder to comply with EdFali’s shipping policies.
✔ No immediate restrictions apply, but the violation is recorded.
🟠 Second Violation – Temporary Account Restriction
✔ The seller’s withdrawal privileges may be temporarily suspended until the issue is resolved.
✔ The seller must provide a corrective action plan explaining how they will prevent further delays.
✔ Orders may be auto-refunded to buyers at the seller’s expense if the delay exceeds acceptable limits.
🔵 Third Violation – Permanent Account Suspension Review
✔ The seller’s account is flagged for review, and EdFali will assess whether continued access to the platform is justified.
✔ If deemed necessary, EdFali may permanently suspend the seller’s account.
✔ Any remaining balance may be held or refunded to affected buyers.
✔ The seller loses access to EdFali’s marketplace and cannot register a new account.
⚠ Immediate Suspension for Extreme Cases
Some violations may result in immediate account suspension, including:
❌ Repeated delays leading to excessive buyer disputes.
❌ Intentional misrepresentation of shipping details or fraudulent activity.
❌ Failure to comply with dispute resolution decisions or platform-wide policies.
16.3 Review Process for Penalized Sellers
Sellers who receive penalties or suspensions have the right to request a review of their case by following these steps:
✔ Step 1: Submit an Appeal
- The seller must submit a written appeal to EdFali’s compliance team within 7 days of the penalty notice.
- The appeal must include proof of corrective actions taken (e.g., process improvements, communication with affected buyers).
✔ Step 2: Compliance Review
- The compliance team will assess the seller’s history, including past disputes and performance metrics.
- If the violations are deemed unintentional or minor, the seller may be given a final chance to comply.
✔ Step 3: Final Decision
- If the appeal is approved, the seller may regain partial or full access to their account under strict monitoring.
- If the appeal is denied, the seller’s suspension remains in effect permanently.
🚨 EdFali’s decision on penalties and suspensions is final and non-negotiable. Sellers are expected to adhere to marketplace policies to avoid compliance issues.
